Christian Faith Ministries (CFM), led by Kent and Ruth Hodge, is a Christian Organisation based in Jos, Nigeria. They focus on peacemaking and mission to Islamic and Pagan areas of Northern Nigeria. As a church we have partnered with one of their rural mission stations in Gombe, Nigeria, since 2016. |
2022 Review
Since December 2021, CFM has seen a large influx of missionaries and new converts, who they are training and accommodating. With the completion of a two-storey hostel and more classrooms, the number of Bible College Students boarding onsite has increased from 900 in 2021 to 1,200 in early 2023. The total number of students has risen to 1,500 and every day 1,700 people are fed for free (including the children of students). Over 90% of these students go on to full-time ministry, on average planting two churches each, often in dangerous locations.
To support their students and the wider community, CFM offers a broad range of services and opportunities for vocational training in 15 different skills. There are now 9 computer centres, most in regions of hostility. |
CFM made 2022 their “Year of Missions”, widening their mission field by adding to CFM’s own network and partnering with like-hearted organisations. Their work is therefore growing both locally and across Central and Northern Africa. CFM now has 110 mission stations in 4 countries and 14 new churches in Chad, Cameroon and the Republic of Niger. CFM graduates also oversee hundreds of other churches in French-speaking African nations.

Previous Support
Previous years has seen KingdomCome directly support the ‘Gombe boys’. Aliyu and Zakka were CFM graduates, working to plant churches and share the gospel with the people of Gombe. The Gombe boys have become role models for other CFM mission stations. Past funds have enabled housing to be built for the mission team, a bore for fresh water access, schools and church buildings, motor bikes for transport, and medical supplies.
|
In addition to this project work, previous funds have provided wages for the team as they continue to disciple new converts, share the gospel and extend their reach beyond the original Gombe mission station into other local villages. This has enabled the work of the kingdom to extend beyond the Gombe region.

Gombe Update
The work in Gombe continues, with a focus on church planting and discipleship training in their community and surrounding villages. Aliyu and Zakka are both married now with children, filling up the house we previously helped to fund. Most recently, the team hosted a regional women’s conference.

Video Update
CFM’s missions vision is two-fold. First, to support thousands of missionaries by training people to serve in outreaches in interior regions. Second, to support our own network of missions stations that link directly with CFM. Gabriel and Kent discuss this vision, and it’s unlimited scope. Video Link.
